At eleven, she tried to get into the Juilliard School in Manhattan, but eventually entered the Convent of the Sacred Heart, a private Catholic school Lady Gaga attracted media attention as a singer following the release of her first album, The Fame, which was critically acclaimed as well as a commercial success, topping charts around the world and including number ones Just Dance and Poker Face.
